Geology Merit Badge
The Geology Merit Badge program has been modified to meet the new requirements. This badge program features hands-on Geology workshops conducted
by registered Badge Counselors plus 'An
Introduction to Speleology' pre-tour program, a special interpretive
tour of the caverns, a light snack, a rock collection for all
boys, PLUS an all new fossil collection for the scouts.

Mammal Study Merit Badge
The nine hour program features four interactive workshops conducted
by registered Badge Counselors plus 'An
Introduction to Speleology', pre-tour program, a special flashlight
interpretive tour of the caverns, and a bat house for each troop.

Boy Scout Geology & Mammal Study Merit Badge Event & Camporee
Plan now to join boys from Pennsylvania and surrounding states for our eighth semi-annual Boy Scout Camporree! By participating in pre-scheduled event dates no minimum numbers of participants or minimum fees are required for your troop to attend. Enjoy all the excitement and educational fun of just one or both merit badges offered to scouts on these special camporee weekends, as well as meeting Boy Scouts from other states and camping together for this special weekend.

Overnight Options
Bring your sleeping bags and spend the night in heated/air-conditioned comfort upstairs in our learning center. There is room to sleep up to 60 people. Restroom facilities are located in our Visitors' Center wing and refrigeration is available. Coffee maker and TV with VCR on site. Indoor lodging available for one night only: the night prior to or the night during your program.OR
March thru November:Enjoy primitive camping in our new group campground atop Warrior Ridge. Private, level sites in wooded areas adjoining a large field for group activities. At each group site porta-johns, fire rings, picnic tables, water for putting out fires, and trash barrels are provided. Drinking water must be carried from the Visitors Center. Firewood and ice is available for a small fee. Easy access from Route 22 via a gravel road. Stay as long as you like: primitive camping nights unlimited.
Overnight programs include special flashlight tours of the caverns!
A two-day option with lodging elsewhere is also available.
